Ganesh Sthapana & Visarjan Pooja

Ganesha Pooja is performed on the eve of Ganesha Chaturthi. Lord Ganesha is called Vighan Harta. This is because Lord Ganesha removes all the obstacles in the life of his devotees. One who prays and offers pooja to Lord Ganesha receives his divine blessings. Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated on the Chaturthi of Bhadrapada, Shukla Paksha. 

Purpose : Ganesha Pooja is performed to get rid of all evil spirits and negativities that are causing troubles in your life. The divine blessings of Lord Ganesha fill your life with positivity, happiness, prosperity and success. We also perform Ganesha Pooja before starting a new venture and seek his blessings to become successful in it. Lord Ganesha removes all the obstacles in our way and shows us the path to success. 

Procedure : The Ganesha Pooja starts with the Sthapana of Ganesha idol on a Chauki which is decorated with Flowers, Lights and Rangoli. Diya with Coconut Oil is lit in front of the idol. The priest starts the Pooja with Kalash Sthapana and Pran Pratistha. We then offer Chandan, Kumkum, Haldi, Flowers, Sweets, Panchamitra, Panchmewa and cloth to the Lord Ganesha. Panditji recites sacred mantras all invokes all the gods and goddessess. The puja concludes with Ganesha Aarti and Bhogvitran. The Visarjan pooja involves the Visarjan pooja of Kalash and Ganesha Idol. We seek blessings from Lord Ganesha and ask for forgiveness for our mistakes. Then we immerse his idol and kalash into the water.
