Jagran pooja is done to celebrate the divine blessings that we have received in our lives. We evoke gods and goddesses by singing kirtans and bhajans to praise them. Usually, jagran is kept to please Lord Shiva.

Jagran starts with lighting the diyas in front of the deities’ photos and offering them flowers and prashad. The people then start singing melodious kirtans and bhajans praising gods and goddesses.
