Description
Purpose
Maha Rudra havan is done to eliminate all the evils and negativities in your life. The havan removes the possibilities of untimely death, accident and any life-threatening risks. Maha Rudra Havan is performed for a healthy life that is devoid of any illness or diseases. Chanting and listening to Maha Rudra jaap is considered beneficial so as to receive the divine blessings of Lord shiva.
Procedure
Chanting Vedic mantras from the Rig Veda is used to conduct Maha Rudra Yagna. During Rudra Yagna, two Nishkama Karmas, namely Deva Yagna and Manushya Yajna Namakam and Chamakam, are recited. Chanting is accompanied by Havan, a Vedic fire. Ekadasa Rudram consists of eleven recitations of the Sri Rudram accompanied by one recitation of the Chamakam. Rudra Homam is made up of many units. One Laghu Rudram is made up of eleven Ekadasa Rudram recitations. One Maha Rudram is made up of eleven Laghu Rudra chanting.
Auspicious Muhurat
The priest will suggest an auspicious date to conduct Maha rudra havan according to the janam nakshtra of the person.
