Purpose

Roka ceremony is usually done to announce to society the upcoming wedding of the bride and groom. The couple makes it official that they are committed to one another and will be marrying in near future.

Procedure

Panditji performs the pooja in the presence of the couple. Both the families of the couple exchange sweets, clothes, jewellery and other items. Then the rings are exchanged and the couple takes aashirwad of the elders.

Auspicious Muhurat

Panditji matches the Kundli and suggests the auspicious date and time of the Roka ceremony accordingly.
