Description
Purpose
The sole purpose of the Sudhikaran pooja is to purify and cleanse the house and environment before the main pooja. The pooja ensures that the place is purified and fit to perform an auspicious pooja. It also gets rid of the negative energies present in the house.
Procedure
Shudhikaran puja starts with Lord Ganesh’s worship, followed by Kalash sthapana. Mantras called Punyavachanam are recited to summon the gods and goddesses and ask for their strength to flow into the water. This holy water is then sprinkled in all of the house’s rooms to drive out negativity.
Auspicious Muhurat
Sudhiakaran pooja is mostly done before the main pooja or on any auspicious occasion or celebration.
