Description
Purpose
Vivah pooja does not include one pooja. The rituals of the vivah start days before the wedding date. Several rituals and poojas are performed to pray to the gods and goddess to bless the couple with a happy and healthy married life.
Procedure
The vivah rituals start with offering the wedding card to the gods and kul devi. It is then followed by lagan pooja, haldi, mandap pooja, mehndi ceremony, and the vivah. The vivah itself encompasses several complex rituals in the mandap like kanya daan, phera, sindoor daan, and vidai.
Auspicious Muhurat
Panditji matches the kundli of the couple and decides the auspicious wedding date.
