Marriage is one of the most important events of one’s life. Vivah pooja should be performed with full dedication to ensure that gods bless your married life. Wedding is the transition from Brahmcharyashram to Grihasthashramam. In the Hindu religion, we offer the wedding card to the gods first with pooja to invite them to bless the couple.

Vivah pooja does not include one pooja. The rituals of the vivah start days before the wedding date. Several rituals and poojas are performed to pray to the gods and goddess to bless the couple with a happy and healthy married life.

The vivah rituals start with offering the wedding card to the gods and kul devi. It is then followed by lagan pooja, haldi, mandap pooja, mehndi ceremony, and the vivah. The vivah itself encompasses several complex rituals in the mandap like kanya daan, phera, sindoor daan, and vidai.
